Vasily Smyslov (24/03/1921), Soviet chess grandmaster of the USSR (1941), Honored Master of Sports (1948), International Grandmaster (1950). Champion of the USSR in 1949, 1955 and the world in 1957 – 1958 (in the world championship match three times, met with Mikhail M. Botvinnik: 1954 – tie in 1957 – winning in 1958 – a defeat). Member of the match-tournament for the World Championship in 1948 (2 nd place after Botvinnik). Served in the USSR team in nine Chess Olympiad in 1952 – 1972 and at the European Championships in 1957 – 1973. Awarded the Order of Lenin.

Biography Utochkina Sergei Solzhenitsyn

Utochkin Sergei Isaevich (30.06 (12.07) .1876 – 12.31.1915 (13.01.1916)), one of the first Russian pilots, promoter of aviation business in Russia. Born into a family of merchants. He was engaged in many sports (swimming, fencing, wrestling, boxing, etc.), each of which succeed. In 1907 made a solo flight in a balloon (Odessa), then toured in Egypt, flying over the Sahara (8 flights). Felt gliders. March 15, 1910 in Odessa (a week after the flight, MN Efimov) made its first flight on a Plane "Farman-4. In August 1910 – Test Pilot s-da "Dux" (Moscow). He built a biplane type "Farman", which in December 1910 has made dozens of flights over Odessa and the sea. In 1910 – 1911 first demonstrated flight of many cities in Russia and abroad. Flights Utochkina subsequently observed prominent aircraft designers and pilots V.Ya. Klimov (Moscow), NN Polikarpov (Orel), AA Mikulin (in Kiev), POSukhoy (Gomel), P. N.
