Matyushkin Fedor Fedorovich (10 (21) .07.1799 – 16 (28) .09.1872), Russian seaman, Admiral (1867).
One of the closest companions of Alexander Pushkin. He graduated Tsarskoselsky Lyceum (1817).
In 1817 – 1819, entering the fleet voluntarily participated in the circumnavigation VM Golovkin on the sloop "Kamchatka", in 1820 – 1824 – in the Arctic expedition Wrangell, in conjunction with it inspected and put the card on. Chetyrehstolbovoy, independently examined the large space of the tundra east of the Kolyma River, collected valuable ethnographic materials in 1825 – 1827 – a circumnavigation Wrangell on the sloop "mild".
In 1828 – 1829 participated in the Russian-Turkish War, commanding the various warships. In 1835, he served on the Black Sea Fleet, in 1850 – 1851 – the Baltic Fleet.
Since 1852 in senior positions in the Naval Office, since 1858 chairman of the Naval Scientific committee.
Since 1861, Senator.
