Polynin Fedor Petrovich (10/20/1906 – 11/21/1981) – Pilot bomber, Hero of the Soviet Union (1938), Colonel-General. In aviation from 1929 in 1937-1938 fought in China and commanded air group. Biography Artsebarsky Anatoly Pavlovich

Artsebarsky Anatoly Pavlovich (09/09/1956). Astronaut born Sept. 9, 1956 in the village of millet Pokrovsky region Dnipropetrovsk region Ukrainian SSR; graduated from the Kharkov Higher Military Pilot School them. Biography of Andrei Nikolaevich Tupolev

Andrei Nikolayevich Tupolev (29.10 (10.11) .1888 – 12.23.1972), Soviet aircraft designer, academician of the USSR (1953), Colonel-General Engineer (1968), three times Hero of Socialist Labor (1945, 1957, 1972). In 1908 he entered the Moscow Higher Technical School (Moscow Higher Technical School), where under the guidance of Zhukovsky began to engage in aeronautical study, participated in the construction of a glider, which made its first flight. After graduation (1918), together with Zhukovsky was the organizer and one of the leaders of hydrodynamic Institute (TsAGI). In 1918 – 1935 Deputy Head of the Institute. In 1922 he formed as part of TsAGI and headed the experimental design bureau, whose activity was associated with the development of severe land, sea combat and civilian aircraft, torpedo boats and the sled. In 1922 – 1924 directed the work on implementation duralyumina in aircraft, in 1924 – 1925 created the ANT-2 and ANT-3 – the first Soviet all-metal aircraft. Using duralyumina in the construction of aircraft allowed Tupolev first in the country to move from biplane to monoplane cantilever. Tupolev developed more than 100 types of aircraft, 70 of which were issued serially. At the Tupolev aircraft won 78 world records, holds 28 unique flights, including rescue boat crew Cheliuskin on ANT-4, non-stop flights to the U.S. via the North Pole crew VPChkalov and Gromov on ANT -25, landing a scientific expedition "North Pole", headed by ID Papanin. A large number of bombers, torpedo bombers, scouts designed by Tupolev (TB-1, TB-3, SB, TB-7, MTB-2, W-2) and torpedo boats H-4, F-5 was used in the fighting in the Great Patriotic War of 1941 – 1945. In the postwar years under the leadership of Tupolev developed a number of military and civilian aircraft, including the 1-st Soviet jet bomber Tu-12 (1947), Tu-16, 1-th jet airliner TU-104 (1954), 1-st turboprop intercontinental airliner Tu-114 (1957), Tu-124, Tu-134, Tu-154. Tupolev – Honorary Member of the Royal Aeronautical Society of Great Britain (1970) and the American Institute of Aviation and Space (1971). In 1958, Tupolev was awarded the Gold Medal. Biography of Konstantin Petrovich Feoktistov

Feoktistov, Konstantin Petrovich (07/02/1926), was born in Voronezh, where he spent his childhood and where he went to high school. Studies interrupted by World War II. Sixteen-year young man could not be aloof from the struggle with enemies and Kostya went to the front, was a scout troop parts. In 1942, during the execution of one of the combat missions he was captured and shot (!!!). Fortunately, the wound was not mortal, after shots Kostya fell and lost consciousness. He was taken for dead and did not finish, but was thrown together with the executed lying in the snow. That night he woke up and crawled to the place of execution. Cured and, after the liberation of Voronezh on the occupation, continued his studies in high school.

Biography Yaroslav Golovanov Kirillovich

Golovanov, Yaroslav K. (06/02/1932) was born June 2, 1932 in Moscow. In 1956 he graduated from the rocket department of the Moscow Higher Technical School named after Bauman. Following graduation, he worked at SRI-1, which was the supervisor of MV Keldysh. Then changed the nature of its activities and became a journalist. Nearly 30 years as science columnist at the newspaper "Komsomolskaya Pravda". For 10 years he was a special correspondent for Komsomolskaya Pravda at the Baikonur Cosmodrome in the center for space communications. Biography of Vladislav Nikolayevich Volkova

Biography of Vladimir Mikhailovich Komarov

Komarov, Vladimir Mikhailovich (16.03.1927 – 24.04.1967) was born March 16, 1927 in Moscow. In 1945 he graduated from the Moscow Air Force special school. After the special school he entered the aviation school initial training and then in Bataisk Military Aviation School name of AK Serov, who graduated in 1949. He served as a fighter pilot in the parts of the Air Forces of the USSR in the North Caucasus and the Carpathian region. In 1959 he graduated from the Air Force Academy named after NE Zhukovsky.

In 1960 he was enrolled in cosmonaut (1960 Air Force Group number 1). Trained to fly aboard the Vostok and Voskhod. He was the backup commander of the Vostok-4 "(12-15 August 1962). 12-13 October 1964 made a space flight as commander of the world's first bench Voskhod-1 ". The flight lasted 1 day 17 min 3 sec.

Trained to fly in ships such as "Union" on the lunar program of the USSR. 23-24 April 1967 made his second space flight as commander of the Soyuz-1 ". The flight lasted 1 night 2 hours and 47 minutes 52 seconds.

Tragically died April 24, 1967 upon return of the Soyuz-1 "from outer space (torsion sling parachute led to the catastrophe ship). During two flights into space blew 2 days 3 hours 4 minutes 55 seconds.

Sergey Vladimirovich Ilyushin Biography

Sergey Vladimirovich Ilyushin (18 (30) .03.1894), Soviet aircraft designer, academician of the USSR (1968), Colonel-General engineering services (1967), twice Hero of Socialist Labor (1941, 1957). Tsp. CPSU since 1918. In 1916 he began working aircraft mechanic.

Since 1918 the Red Army, the first aircraft mechanic, then the commissar, and since 1921 head of aircraft maintenance train. In 1926 he graduated from the Air Force Engineering Academy. Zhukovsky. In 1931, organized and headed the Bureau, whose activities are connected with the development of three types of aircraft – attack, bomber and a passenger. Ilyushin, a large number of aircraft types.

In the first combat aircraft CDB 26 (CDB-1930, CDB-Zof) had set a world record height with different loads, and in 1938-39 carried non-stop flights Moscow – Vladivostok and Moscow district – the island bowl (North America).
