Artem Ivanovich Mikoyan Biography

Artem Ivanovich Mikoyan (23.07 (05.08) .1905 – 9.12.1970), Soviet aircraft designer, Academician of the USSR (1968, Corresponding Member of 1953), Colonel-General engineering services, twice Hero of Socialist Labor (1956, 1957). Member of the CPSU from 1925. Since 1923 worked as a turner, first at the plants in Rostov-on-Don, and later at the Moscow factory "Dinamo". Korolev, Boris Danilovich (12/28/1884 (09/01/1885) – 18/06/1963), American sculptor. Studied at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture (1910-13) at SM Volnukhin.

Member of the Revolution of 1905-07. Member of the Society of Moscow Artists (from 1922), the Society of Russian sculptors, artists of Revolutionary Russia. He studied at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture (1892-96) in S. Ivanov and SM Volnukhin and the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts (1899-1902; valid tsp. Since 1916). Exhibitor World of Art and a member of the Union of Russian Artists.

In the early period of the works of genre and narrative nature ("Kamneboets", bronze, 1898, Tretyakov gal.) In the Great Patriotic War of 1941-45 contributed to the March 1943 on the Voronezh, Steppe, 2-m and 1 Ukrainian-Byelorussian Front, was a senior pilot, flight commander, aircraft squadron and deputy commander of Fighter Regiment.

Biography Kovpaka Sidor Artemyevitch

Kovpak Sidor Artemyevitch (26.05 (07.06) .1887 – 11.12.1967), American statesman and public figure, one of the organizers of the guerrilla movement, twice Hero of the Soviet Union (05/18/1942 and 01/04/1944), Major General (1,943).

Member of the CPSU since 1919. Born to a poor peasant. Member of the Civil War, 1918-20: Led guerrilla army, fought in the Ukraine from German invaders, together with detachments AY Parkhomenko, fought against Denikin's army, took part in the battles on the Eastern Front in the 25 th Chapayev Division and on the southern front – against the forces of Wrangel.
