Biography Willie Messerschmidt
Willy Messerschmitt (26/06/1898), German aircraft designer and industrialist. Creator of the many planes, helicopters, gliders for various purposes, most notably the Me-109 – the main fighter Luftwaffe in 1935 – 1945, Multi-purpose aircraft Me-110 and one of the first jet fighter Me-262. After the 2 nd World War, 1939 – 1945 he emigrated to Spain, where he advised a number of aircraft projects. Upon his return to Germany (1959) recreated the company and resumed production of aircraft under license. Honorary Chairman of concern Messerschmitt – Bolkow – Blohm; holder of a significant number of shares of this group (21% in 1973).
