Coast George T. (4/15/1921) was born April 15, 1921 in the village now Fedorivka Carlo District Poltava Region (Ukraine) in the family servant. After the war ended in 1948, he graduated from senior officers' courses and test pilots. In 1948 – 1964 he worked as a test pilot. He mastered dozens of types of aircraft. Without the-job in 1956, he graduated from the Air Force Academy (now the Gagarin). April 14, 1961 was awarded the Distinguished Test Pilot of the USSR. In 1963 he enlisted in the Soviet cosmonaut (1963 Air Force Group № 2 (extra set). Has received full training to fly aboard Soyuz type. 26 – 30 October 1968 made a space flight aboard the spacecraft Soyuz-3. The flight tests were conducted the spacecraft in real space flight with astronaut on board. The flight lasted 3 days 22 hours 50 minutes 45 seconds. For the commission of space flight on Nov. 1, 1968 was awarded a second Gold Medal of Hero of the Soviet Union. In 1972 – 1987 – Head of Centre cosmonaut training. The author of books "Earth – the stratosphere – Space", "Space – Excavation", "Tree height", "Edge of courage," "Heaven begins on earth", "the call of the heart." dies June 30, 1995. He was buried in Moscow.
