Biography Fed'ka Ivan

Fedko Ivan (24.06 (06.07) .1897 – 2.26.1939), Soviet army officer and commander of rank 1 (1938), the hero of the Civil War 1918 – 1920.

A member of the Communist Party since 1917. Born in with. Khmel'ove now Romny district of the Sumy region., In a peasant family.

Since 1916 participated in the 1 st World War 1914 – 1918, graduated from the school of ensigns (1917). During the October Revolution, organized in the city of Feodosia detachment of Red Guards and Revolutionary Committee.

During the Civil War, commanded the 3rd and 1 st column of troops of the Northern Caucasus (May – October 1918), 11 Army, was chief of the northern Caucasus (October – November 1918), assistant commander of the 11 th Army (November 1918 – February 1919). In 1919, a member of the RVS Crimean Republic and the deputy commander of the Crimean army, then transformed in the 58 th Infantry Division.

In 1920 a group of troops commanded the 13th Army. In 1921 participated in the elimination of the Kronstadt rebellion and the anti-Soviet antonovschiny. He graduated from the Military Academy of Red Army (1922).

He was commander of the Caucasian army, troops of the Volga Military District, Deputy Commander of the Special Far Eastern Army and the Commander Maritime Force troops.

In 1937 he commanded the troops of the Kiev military district, in 1938 – 1 st Deputy. People's Commissar of Defence. MP and member of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR 1-th convocation.

He was awarded the Order of Lenin and 4 orders of the Red Banner.
