Chevakinsky Savva (1713 – between 1774 and 1780). Born in with. Landmarks near Torzhok now Kalinin region., Died in St. Petersburg. Russian architect. The representative of the Russian Baroque style in the mid-18. Studied (1732 – 1738) by IK Korobov. In 1741 – 1767 chief architect of the Admiralty College. Among the students of VI Bazhenov, I. E. Starov. For creativity Chevakinsky typical organic fusion of the traditions of Russian architecture of 17 century. with the methods and forms of architecture to-order, balance and clarity of bulk compositions, subtle sense of silhouette, the richness and brilliance of the festive decor. Jobs: participation in the construction of the palace and park complex in the Tsarskoe Selo Palaces PB Sheremetev on Fontanka (1750 – 1755) and I. Shuvalov (1753 – 1755), Nicholas Marine Cathedral (1753 – 1762), alteration Kunstkammer ( 1754 – 1758), warehouses "New Holland" (1765 – 1780) in Leningrad.
