Biography Benckendorf Constantine Khristoforovich
Benkendorf Constantine Khristoforovich (1785 – 1828), brother of Alexander Benckendorf, Adjutant General.
His parents intended for a diplomatic career, and in 1913 his life was defined by a cadet in the college of Foreign Affairs, and in 1805 received the rank of gentleman of the bedchamber of the Imperial Court. At the beginning of World War II, he joined the army with the rank of Major and assigned to a detachment Baron Vintsengrade, distinguished himself in the affairs in the suburbs of Moscow, Smolensk and in the capture of Vilna.
In a campaign in 1813, commanding a small detachment of the individual, captured in Belzig, a battalion Westphalians, 2 banners, then entered the flying squad Chernysheva, took part in all his brilliant actions.
